Hi, I am Gaby and I love to draw things!
I know my last name is a little difficult to pronounce but if you change the CC for a CH and the CH for a K you've got it. Mi-Chi-K - Easy right?
Thank you for visiting my page and showing some interest in my work and passion. Let me  tell you a little bit of my story and how I became an Illustrator.
It all began when I was about 3 years old. Or maybe earlier? Mhh, in any case my first memory is painting on the walls of my grandmother's house. Later on I discovered that selling drawings to my classmates in primary school could earn me some money to buy candy. I have drawn ever since.
I love cats. And growing up I especially loved my cat. So I started a comic series about her called chinchusadas. It wasn't really famous but it was a fun thing to do at the time. That’s how I became an illustrator.
I was born in Venezuela, where I lived for 25 years. Then I decided it was time to see the world and pursue my master degree in Germany. I am inclined to tell stories with my drawings and I wanted to narrate my "adventures" while traveling around the world. First I thought about  keeping a diary. But drawing has always been easier for me than writing. So micci-draws was born.
You can check some of my earlier drawings in the sketches section.
When I went to college I studied architecture but during my master's I found my calling as an urban planner! Now I make streets safer, cities greener and I try to convince people to use more public transport instead of cars. In short: I change the world around you for the better. My job also gave me the opportunity to mix the world of architecture and urban planning with illustration and it has been a very satisfying experience. You can see it in the architecture part.
I'm also a digital drawing enthusiast, so my iPad accompanies me wherever I go. Currently I am living in Stuttgart, Germany. In the illustrations and comics section you can see a bit of my life in illustrated form. I also post my illustrations on Instagram, facebook or twitter. Follow me and don't miss anything.
